Fundraising & Donations
There are now some very easy ways for you to help raise funds for Alderman Knight School through our registered charity The Friends of Alderman Knight School. The Friends have worked for many years now raising funds through numerous means that have been used directly to improve our pupil’s education and their experiences whilst at our school.
The Friends of Alderman Knight School is now registered with JustGiving to make it easy for all parents, teachers, friends, local businesses and supporters all over the World to make donations to the school.

Our Current Projects
Primary Trim Trail
The school are currently receiving quotes to develop a trim trail in the Primary playground. A Trim Trail would provide our Primary pupils with a variety of physical challenges to develop balance, climbing confidence, upper and lower body strength, core stability, coordination and gross motor skills.
Expansion of School Grounds
As the school has developed over the years with pupil numbers increasing the area available to our pupils has not. This could be seen as a restriction in their active areas and we have been looking in ways that we could improve our outdoor areas. Following consultation with Gloucestershire County Council, we are looking to expand our grounds to include the grassed field behind the MUGA and Monster Play equipment. To ensure this area is secure we need to add an additional 200 metres of 1.8 metre high security fencing.
New Build Outdoor Space
Although the new build is currently due to be handed over on time there have been a number of unforeseen adjustments to the development which has resulted in the budget and contingency pot being fully utilised. Some cuts have had to be made with many of them unseen and not having a large impact to the amazing space we will soon have access to. Unfortunately, the planned planters and seating areas for the outdoor space have been included with the school now hoping to fund the large planters and seating that will be used to divide up the outdoor areas. It is an element that we feel to be extremely important in the development of the new space and it’s uses for our pupils.
