Admissions to Alderman Knight School
Admissions
Admissions to Alderman Knight School, a Local Authority Special School, are coordinated by Gloucestershire County Council.
Please note all children require an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) that highlights their individual areas of special needs and agreed outcomes, which support the setting of shorter-term targets within their individual education plans, to attend Alderman Knight School.
To explore Alderman Knight School as a potential placement for your child, kindly get in touch to secure a spot on our regular Parents/Carers information sessions conducted via video link with members of the Senior Team. During these sessions, you can take a virtual tour of the school, ask general questions, and gain insights into our educational environment.
After attending an information video call, then next steps for parents/carers considering Alderman Knight School is an after-school tour or book on to one of our termly open day sessions, which will provide an opportunity to experience the learning environment.
Due to the high volume of admission enquiries, meetings with the Headteacher are scheduled once the local authority have approved a placement and Alderman Knight School feels through completing the consultation, that we can meet the needs of the young person.
